65mm throtle body

Is it worth it to replace my 58mm stock throtle body w a 65mm one? C.A. I., headers, h-pipe and catback on an 86 GT

No, you dont need it. If you plan on new heads in the near future, maybe. But right now, no. I'de get gears....you'll definately feel a difference there.

I agree. I recently read a report from a speed shop that used Kenny Brown Dyno to test The TB swap They ran stock then 65 then 70 mm tbs
The gains were minimal like less than 2 hp and 2#tq
They said same thing get gears exhaust etc.

Ditto.
After the exhaust work, including headers, it would be worth buying. A friend of mine put a 70 on his car w/full exhaust and loved it. I traded him a 65mm for it and he notices no difference.

Of course there are better things to buy but at least w/full exhaust you will notice some power.

The lower intake and the heads are your next big bottlenecks. Gears are probably the biggest bang for the buck.
