Are the 68 and 69 front mounting bolt holes the same distance apart? I know the body style changed but did the foot print for the seat mounting change? Does anyone know?
well they sell the same replacement seat/floor pans for 64-70 cars, so i would assume they are the same. Also i've heard of people putting 69-70 mach 1 seats in early cars. Even if they're not you can pretty much put any seat you want in them, just have to fabricate mounts...its not hard. I've got late model cobra seats in mine.
I don't believe everything up to a 2000 is a direct bolt in. I put seats from an '87 into my '67 & '68. I used the frame rails from the old cars and had to drill an extra hole in the seat on both sides to get them to bolt up to the new seats. Once that was done, it was an easy drop in. Makes the ride much more comfortable.
RDMustang, the 69 seats should bolt right in with no troubles.
