I bought new tail light bezels for my 68 Fastback and I was quite disappointed - new bezels are narrower than originals and they don't cover mounting holes. Should I try and buy bezels at another store?

Try calling the seller and describe your problem. A good vendor, such as Glazier Nolan, will actually pull the item and look at them. Notice that what you have there is actually a 67 bezel, painted to look like a 68. AFAIK, no one actually makes a 68 bezel.

I notice that your repro actually sits lower at the bottom. Can't get it to shift upward?

Thanks for the input, but I live in Russia and I doubt that any seller will pay for the shipping back to the States. Can you tell me what the difference was between 67 and 68 bezels?

I cannot move it higher since it barely fits in the holes - the holes are spaced apart further than mounting studs on the bezel.

Russia! The 67 bezels had a rounded accent groove, and were unpainted. The 68 had a flat accent groove, and were painted semi-gloss black in the groove.
