justa wondering if u guys think my t/b is to big for my set up and if its costing me any power ... thanks in advance ...

no not really if u got a proper tune and the supporting mods for it....didnt see many more mods listed

No its not especially since you have cams...when I get to my work computer tomorrow ill post you a link that has all brands of 70/75mm tb's and plenums tested to show you documented performance differences and gains that a shop did...75 would be perfect for you

get the 75, there usually close to the same price anyway, and its not going to hurt you...

I got a 75 in preparation for future mods. Like 98Cobra says, they are close enough in price.

I'm kinda just starting to modify my 2000 Gt. 373s, cold air, Magna Flows, and I'm wondering if a 75 tb would be a good next add on for me. The gears have made a big difference and I wonder if the stock tb is starving the engine for fuel??

RWT255..... Next mod should be off road mid pipe. The stock induction systems isnt really a bottle neck on our cars.

Thanks for the tip. I went and looked and it has a H pipe crossover already. I have to keep the catalytic converters for emissions testing in TX. I've had MagnaFlow HP mufflers installed. I'm thinking about tose BBK shorty headers.

Isn't the stock throttle body only 51 mm on the 2000 GT? Sure seems small compared tp 75mm.

You can purchase a high flow mid pipe. It had catalytic converters.

65mm stock. On the V6 it's 56mm

Where do you live in Texas? I have an off-road pipe here and don't have problems. Yea you will need to find an inspection place that might look the other way but just go look around they arn't hard to find. As long as you are not in a county that does testing which is only a handful in dfw and houston area, then you will be fine with even high flow cats.

I'm in the Austin area. They check. The HP cats seem like a good idea and I think I'll look at that.

Bottom line though on the throttle body is you think that stock one is good enough for now?

I look at it more as room to grow...I use to have just boltons and still ran a 75mm TB and plenum from accufab. Some Said I would have seen more power with a 70mm TB but I didnt know the exact route my car was going to be going down so it was good i went with a 75mm otherwise I would be shelling out a few hundred dollars a second time to get a new one.
