75w90 is fine???

Ive searched and searched, but cannot find a clear answer. I just purchased 2 qts of Mobil 1 75w90. Is that going to be fine for the stang w/ 373s?

Yes but u need 2.75 quarts and some friction modifier.

This is straight from Mobil's website. So would I have to add the Ford stuff to it as well?

Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lube LS 75W-90 contains special friction modifiers designed for limited slip-type differentials. In most applications, the addition of special LS (limited slip) additives is not required. For axles requiring the highest level of limited-slip performance, OEM specific LS additives can be added to this fluid.

it probably wont hurt it but itd still put in the ford friction modifier. xl3 is the part number

Add it. 7 dollar or so insurance. Thats cheap.

i put bg 75w90 in my rearend. it seems to be a little mroe aggressive (like i want) with the slightly thinner oil

Just got back from the dealer w/ the friction modifier.

Now just to get 1 more qt of oil.
