Hello, so I have my 89 5.0 LX that has been sitting for about 2+ years now and now will not start. When I put the car down years back the fuel pump was very noisy and now makes no noise when I turn the key to the on position. I started with replacing the pump just because it was a must anyways, but after trying to start again I now am getting little to no spark. It will only spark when letting off the key for a single spark or two and that's only occasionally. I tested the ignition switch, wiring coming off of it, fuseable links, fuses, power to and out of the coil, and then when I get to the distributor, I have nothing coming out or any lights on my noids at the injectors. I was told the PIP could be the culprit and as a distributor wasn't too much money I purchased one and installed it. Still no start and little to no spark. I must admit I'm not the greatest at diagnosing electrical issues but it does seem to have one as I still cannot hear the fuel pump kick on as well as still getting no spark leading me to believe maybe a sensor or ecm issue may be the cause? I also tested the inertia switch by jumper wiring it and still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am a little stumped at this point.
