Hello folks,

I just picked up a very nice 89 Saleen to share the garage wit my 92 Turbo Fox GT,

it needs to be detailed and cleaned, but overall is nice. I really would like to restore the front seats upholstry and the carpet, aswell as find some Saleen floormats, I have searched the internet and can't find anything. I know I can order a carpet kit from places like sacramento mustang but still cant find the floor mats or the front seat upholstry.

It is the grey with red piping, any ideas on where to order it? and saleen floor mats?

also noticed the left drivers side seat is deformed from hitting the arm rest? So I think i would need to replace that aswell, any one else have that issue?

Welcome to the world of Saleens. What you are asking for in the floormats and upholstery is the "Holy Grail" of Foxbody Saleen parts. Interms of floormats you will have to find them used and be prepared to lighten your pocket when you buy them. When they come up they usually go for big money. The seat material is even more elusive. There is a thread on here where someone is looking at having it reproduced. Good luck with your search.

Check out the Saleen Club of America (Saleen Club of America* - it's all about Fun, Friendships & Saleens). Rumor has it there is a great group of guys over there.

What car did you buy Jason?

Check out the SCOA forums for a lot of good information on the cars.

I've seen Fox floormats go for in excess of $300 on eBay and there are no reproductions available. I've got my mint originals stashed and only bring them out for major shows. They're actually very chintzy and light weight, which explains why they're so hard to find. I've got a set of 50Resto Mustang mats that I use 99% of the time. They're easily 3x higher quality than the Saleen ones. The Flofit seat material is very difficult to come by. If you ask on the SCOA board you can get a definitive answer on what to do with that.

Forget the seat material. You can't get it anywhere. I did mine in leather with piping and all.

Used seats $2,000.00:
For Sale Flow Fit Seats from 89-559 - The Saleen Forums at soec.org

Floor mats. Good question, it was discussed at/during SEMA.

One of the original mat suppliers were spoken to as well. If we can help arrange the various parties... you'll see 'em here --> www.soec.org

Best wishes and congrats on the purchase!

Thanks 88. BTW, the engine is out and waiting a rebuild. The engine bay will look really good once I am finished.
