my friend has a BONER STOCK 91 lx vert the car has NO MODS at all.
me and my dad have been working on it and the problem now is
the fuel pump wont shut off when the key is turned on, it will hum and not shut off. the fuel pump is brand new, we just put it in.
the car will crank but wont start. dumping gas manually into the inlet charge will let it start so its not getting fuel
when turning the key on the pump wont shut off and you seem to hear fuel rushing through the fuel rails. we thought it could be the rails not getting pressurized and the pump wouldnt shut off. we replaced the FPR and still the same thing.
we probed an injector plug and its gettign 12v with the key on.
we also took an inector out of the rail and turned the key on. fuel will dump out of the rail. i popped all of the injectors out of the manifold but left them in the rail and had the car cranking, no fuel came out of the injectors.
so it seems the fuel rail is getting fuel but wont come out the injector. where do i go to check and try to get the injectors pulsing again?? what could be causing the fuel pump not to shut off.
it could either be the fuel rails no pressurizing, with no pressure i dont see the fuel coming out the SMALL hole in the injector...the regulator was replaced so what else could bleed fuel back to the return line??
or that the injectors arent getting the ground to open up? any more ideas?
