Greetings. Got a pair of replacement Pillar weatherstrips. These are the ones between the glass and A pillar. Any tips on how to install? Thanks in advance.
Ive wondered that myself. the few times ive pulled the top of mine back to take the trim off it looked like it was glued in. I wondered if there was some kind of adhesive on the back.
After installing, the weather strips slide in after removing the old one. The old one is glued and has a retaining clip top and bottom. However, the new one I got from Fox Mustang Restorations Products is pure Chinese crap. I dont care what they say on their website. I had a funny feeling when the weatherstrip did not come with install instructions but did come with window adjustment instructions. The weatherstrips layed down together are different. The new one is not long enough, and too thick. There is not enough adjustment to be made to the window to get the window to close all the way. I will be returning this junk. Need to find a NOS weatherstrip, or hope i hit a home run at the boneyard.
