i have an automatic. I just did a mass air conversion and had everything but the computer. I got a computer out of a 94 or 95 today. Will it work with my car? The car it is from was also an automatic.

you will have to rewire a good bit of circuits. The SN puters have a lot of undesirable tabling (why they used to swap back to A9L puters). And the auto SN puter is set up for an AODE, not AOD (just FYI). What puter do you have? UP40?

I would get an A9P, etc myself and do it right. it will save headaches now and once running. I just noticed you have an 88 - is it SD? That aint gonna work right there.

Good luck.

ok, i have everything else for the mass air conversion already, except the computer. the computer is a W4H0. That sounds like to many problems it would cause. So if i get an A9P it will work fine. I know where i can get one, but the guy wants $125, is that about how much they go for?

yeah the SN95's use a difference harness, not worth the hassle. Get the A9P. They go anywhere from 75-150 on ebay. 125 is ok but nothing great. That is about your only choice in CPU's.

It's possible but really depends on what car the computer is from. The SN Cobra computers are good, but us GT guys like to swap to the Fox GT computer since the SN GT computer is finicky and has the habit of leaning out the A\F mixture too much and doesn't react to camming well. I'm with the rest of the guys and advise you to find a fox computer.

The A9P was made for an automatic car but CAN be used in a stick, the A9L was made for a stick but CAN NOT be used in an automatic.

So the answer is no, it will not work with your automatic tranny.
