So my new box cobra only has one key, going to make and program a second but want to get remotes at the same time (if it has RKE)

Where would the module be located if it has it?

Yes it has pats

Found the module and the jumper plug in the trunk, now I just have to find the correct style remote... Apparently the ones we keep in stock are 99+

Got one on Amazon for $14
It 'works' but its very hard to push the buttons, and they have to be held for a second

Pretty on par with Amazon stuff. I have one or maybe two 98ish explorer fobs. If you can make those work and I can dig them up id send em to ya.

I thought 99 was the change but @squeak93 says it's 98.... So I'm not sure they'd work ..

This is what I got on Amazon

98 was a bastard year for mustangs - used newer stuff from new edge cars while utilizing older systems in other spots. My old 98 was able to do the turn key to program a new fob. I'm not sure 98 is treated the same across other ford brands though.

Ended up finding a factory remote burried in the truck, swapped the guts to the case of the ty Amazon remote... Reprogrammed and works perfectly
