well i just found on a ford parts site my exact alarm. i wasn't sure if mine was factory or not. the reason i was wondering is because i am having problems with the sensitivity of mine. almost every time i hit a bump my alarm must engage because it kicks out my fuel pump for a split second. if i hit a bad enough bump then it triggers my theft light. the alarm never actually sounds though. and the other night while my car was sitting in my driveway the alarm went off twice for no reason. and then once yesturday morning.

I'm wondering if your's is factory...do you have a factory key fob? It should look like this:

The factory alarms don't have a shock sensor, but the bumping could be causing a short.

Check in the trunk on the drivers side behind the grey material. The brain is mounted against the quarter panel. Maybe you can find a short without diving into it.

Also and more so than all of the alarm problems, take the connector off the fuel cut-off relay n the trunk and jump it with a piece of wire. Then drive. I'm thinking there's something wrong with your fuel cut-off relay.

Let us know...
