98 Mustang Headlights Install issues

I've been trying to install some angel eye halo LED headlights on my mustang. First of all...how they heck are the headlights held in? is there an easier way to get them on or off without snapping plastic pieces?

I attempted to wire the LED's by myself following the how to video on autohow.tv. Did it exactly as he did it in the video but they never came on. This is no big deal as they are a luxury, but it's frustrating.

The main issue is the main lights themselves. Parking lights/turn signals work perfectly. However, only the right side headlight works perfectly, the left side light only lights up very dim. I've included some photos of this issue.

The left side is the top link, the one which is dim when either the dim or brights are on.
2nd is both with regualr dim headlights
3rd is when brights are on.
bottom is the right side, appears to be working just fine with regular and brights.

Any idea on this? wiring looks the same for both of them. Maybe a bulb issue? bulbs came with the headlights, bought new off ebay.

Usually when one headlight is normal and the other is dim, it means that one of the headlight relays is bad. They're cross wired so if you lose a relay you won't lose both headlights. Also check your fuses.

Are the angel eyes supposed to come on with the parking lights? You need to run a tap off that circuit to each of them, along with a ground lead to the chassis. The polarity matters, so if they don't work try reversing the wires.

Where are the headlight relays? I'll double check the fuses.
Another thing I noticed was the dash light for the high beams is half illuminated when the regular driving lights are on.

For the angel eyes I tried to wire them into the parking lights. I ran a tap off the parking lights (black wire and middle wire), also tried reversing the wires.

It appears the issue is somewhere on the headlight assembly itself. I connected by old bulb and it worked perfectly.
Then took dim headlight unit and connected it to the other side and it worked perfectly. So whats going on?

I finally got it working. I assumed the ground wasn't making a connection, so I adjusted the middle in on the new light, bent it up a little, plugged it in and it worked!
