I have not have a/c in my car for a long time and couldnt figure out why. Then a friend of mine saw that the A/C line that goes from the radiator to the back firewall, on the passenger side got too close to the header (Which i have Flowtech LT's) and it burnt a hole in the side where it got too hot..

So i was wondering how to take of the line and replace it and I'll make sure it stays away from the header when i go and put it back in..

you'll need a new line, A/C-fuel line disconnect tools and someone to re-charge the system. now if the A/C has been down awhile, you may need to replace the dryer and have the compressor flushed and checked out before you dump alot of $$$ into it, or you can buy an A/C delete kit and get rid of all the A/C related componets

What do the A/C delete kits run? and Is it worth my time? It seems like it would be more money to fix it then to do anything else.. It has been about a year or more without it working.. i dont really care, more power= but being Hot as **** kinda sucks.. but what ever.. let me know what you guys think..
Thank you guys alot.. i really enjoy asking/ answering peoples questions and i try to hold up my own by returning the favor..

A/C delete kit is @$75.00 which is @ the same price of the hose, now if you need a dryer, @$100.00 and or a compressor @$300.00 + freon and labor.....well it might just be cheaper to-do the delete

Sounds like it.. How hard is that to do? I mean i would do it myself, and not take it somewhere, but i dont see it being all that hard, and is it going to give me what 2-3hp or something? Maybe help with the revs?

Just remember that without a/c your defroster will not clear fog from the window glass and can lead to an unsafe driving situation.

Not worth an extra tenth at the track IMHO.

Fix it, do not delete it.

Also, deleted a/c will hurt your resale value big time.

I didnt really think about that.. but i dont drive it all the time, and i will NEVER EVER sell it.. yes i know what your saying (you never know you just might) Well there is no point in selling my car now.. to much money and too much time i would lose way too much to even think about..

I'll get a new line and i bet its fine.. just not 100% sure how to get it out, and repair it..
