I wanted to know if any of you have ever had a problem with water getting into your car during a hard rain. I have an '02 GT Vert and I can't find any holes but the area where the water pools is the area in which the top folds into... Any help would be appreciated as that I'm baffled by this.

Thanks!

The rear window has blown a seal, this is very common. Unfortunately, it is probably going to cost $300 to fix it.

Call your Lincoln Mercury dealer and ask the to refer you to the best trim shop in town that does convertible tops. Take it there and get an estimate.

Thanks Kilgore! I have a place in town that does tops and they have some nice vehicles on the lot so I'll drive by and see what they say.

Mine was doing this and I fixed it with a $3 tube of windshield sealant RTV. The edges of where the rear glass meets the fabric was pulling away and dripping in the corners.

It's not permenant, but it will probably outlast the life of the rest of the top..

Yep... i say its normal for me. I know its not normal, but it doesnt bother me at all. Its kind of funny when someone gets in the car after a rainstorm and ask, "whats the water sound when you turn" rofl.

It wont be funny when you burn the car down after the amps catch on fire that are directly underneath that cover

Remove the panels in the trunk and see if there is water and grit built up in the rear quarter areas.

I'd replace the rear glass panel area but you could try running some clear silicone around the glass and see if that helps until you get it done.

I actually found out my top was leaking when i heard the water sloshing around in the back when i turned...it freaked me out.

Holy cow! I forgot that the amps are directly under the leak... and the gas tank is under the amps! I don't want my mustang turning into a pinto
