I am going to install my catted Magnaflow X-pipe sometime this week. I am wondering on the stock H-pipe, how many O2 sensors are there on the H-pipe? I know that the X-pipe will only have 2 cats so are there going to be any unused O2 sensors that I need to eliminate? Thanks in advance.

2 before the cats, 2 after the cats
Just move them to the new pipe.

Here's the stock H and catted X pipe.

there are 4 stock sensors and you keep all of them. the 2 front sensors measure air/fuel ratio while the rear ones measure how clean the air coming out of the cats is.

One note, make sure to keep the left and right sensors on the correct side, they are not all interchangable (I think its the front sensors that are different model numbers on each side).

Yeah, do what we did that in picture. Take one off, put it on the new pipe. Take the other off, put it on the new pipe. Can't mess up that way.

Might want to read through the following "how-to" installation guide:

Thanks for fnsweet for the great write-up

i seem to recall when i emptied my cat that the front sensor had colors on them, so you couldnt really mess up... or maybe that was just on my 98gt
