Hello people!! I'm wanting to lower my car with steeda springs and I was wondering what's the best shocks to get. I was looking at Tokico Adj. shocks on the steeda site. Would those shocks work good with the steeda springs?
PS. sorry for the newbe question. any help would be great.

that's exactly what i was wondering i've got steeda sports right now and i'd really like to get some shocks/struts to help out the ride a little bit.

Along with C/C plates, steeda balljoints and steeda bumpsteer kit

if i dont get a coil over set up, whick im leaning against the steeds set up is the one im going with.

i was looking at the tokicos to day, and i believe that those are the ones that steeda uses with their springs. i am not certain though. all u have to do is call steeda and ask them what shocks and struts the use with their springs on their own steeda cars. i think tokicos are it. the adjustables are nice, but i think im going with the regular tokicos, a bit cheaper.

I have the Steeda Sports with the Tokico Illuminas. I think it's one of the best combos I've driven/ridden in. But I like a tight ride. I have my Illuminas set on the firmest setting.

Thats good to hear. Is the springs and shocks the only thing need to complete the installation?

cc plates would help. And if you're removing everything, then you'll benefit from polyurethane endlinks and sway bar bushings.

Since I use them myself, I'm gonna suggest Mach1 shocks & struts. They are made by Tokico, so you know it's the quality you all are looking for. They can also be found brand new for under $200 for the set. My FRPP C-springs are very similiar to the steeda sports, and they work very good with these shocks & struts. Might be a cheaper alternative if you guys are using these primarily for street car use.

I was actually thinking about this issue tonight.. whether I would need to buy a certain type of strut/shock.. or if i could go with the mach 1 setup with my steeda sports.. I guess i'll call Steeda one of these days and figure it out.

Does anyone know how beneficial the Steeda X2 Balljoints and bumpsteer kit would be for this setup?

I figure i'll be gettin some Steeda 4-Bolt C/C plates, and if I was at it and I could use it then i'd go with the balljoints and bumpsteer kit at the same time..

I'd like to go all Steeda tho, but that's me

Where at? I know I got one scrape when I first put them in because I didn't put enough spacers in.

both sides, D side being the worst, should get some banana paint or wipe off what scraped on there from the top of the strut

Ah yes. Those are from when I installed them and didn't have enough spacers. I'm eventually going to have the hood scoop fiberglassed in and the inner hood painted.
