I want to say it was an option, just like the 99+ GTs, but I can't remember.

I used to have a 98 GT too...geeze...

I think it was standard on 99+ GTs until '04 (or mid-year '03?).

I'm thinking I don't have it. I popped the hood now that I have some light and I didn't see a big controller or anything. All I saw was a proportioning valve under the master cylinder. It had five lines screwed into it. Two from the master cylinder, two I'm guessing that go to the brakes, and fith on top that I have no idea where it goes.

ABS was a $500 option on 98 GTs.
99 GTs had ABS standard.

Yup, noticed that on my option sheet. Luckily original owner paid for it and not me!

Well, I'm guessing that since I don't see the big controller I don't have it. Would there be wires running along the rear end as well if I had ABS?

I'm almost certain that ABS was standard in 96 and 97 GTs. It was definatly an option on 1998. I was puzzeled about this a few years ago when I 1st bought my car. My insurance co. thinks I have ABS and I do not.
