I'm trying to run lines for my AC and I wanted to know what the best way to knock the hole in the firewall is? Do you just bang on it with something or does it need to be drilled?

Use a Bi-Metal hole saw. It fits on a drill and makes a nice round hole. You can get these at HomeDepot or Lowes. They have MANY sizes.

If you're running the hoses on the driver's side of the engine, use the factory oval-shaped knockout plate. Just whack it with a hammer and drift punch, it'll open right up.

That was the confirmation I needed. Now I just need a hammer and punch
