We have a 2012 GT premium with the Brembo package. My wife ran over something that cut the tire and it wasnt able to be repaired so we replaced 2 tires with Continental ExtremeDWs. They're on the back right now and I just drove it for the first time since the tires were installed. We live in the mountains and heading down the hill today, power would get cut and it felt like various brakes were being applied as well. I wasnt doing any spirited driving at all and the car has never exhibited this behavior before. This happened on just about every corner and mostly at turn in. Also happened on the 10/15 freeway interchange when I was traveling behind other vehicles at typical highway speeds. No illumination on the dash indicating traction control had intervened.

Any ideas on where to even start looking? The tires werent remotely close to losing traction. Tires were installed at Discount and Ford had the car the same week because the windshield washer motor went out. Oil was changed at the same time. Car has 23k miles on it and has been problem free until now.

Hello madweazl,

I recommend bringing it in to your dealer and get it checked out as soon as possible. You should also speak to your service manager about this. He is in the best position to ensure a proper diagnosis, and will be able to provide available options and/or coverage for any work needed. Let me know the outcome.

I have had a similar issue 2X's on my 2014 GT with 22K miles...Seems after a stop, the car would shudder/studder, flash the "Traction Control" light and the car would eventually stall...Felt like I could have blown a tire...I pulled over while this was happening and turned the car off...Then just re-fired the car and all was well till 8 months later and the same thing happened...Crazy intermittent issue...I have a BAMA Tuner now and it happen before and after the Tuner...Wonder if FORD would blame the tuner, not the AdvanceTrac...Will monitor the issue and report if/when it happens again...
