Well, it looks like Hurricane Charlie is headed right for me here in Central Florida. Last night it's path was projected right through my city, but this morning the lastest forcast is a little west of me. I spent a couple hours yesterday getting all the potential "flying missles" out of my yard. I had so much crap in my yard. You think a Hurricane could start throwing transmissions? Hope not, since I got 3 of them in my side yard. What about a 2.3 catback system? Oh well, I think I will be ok.

This morning it was just past 85mph winds. It won't hit until Friday night. Freakin every store around here is out of water. People keep fillin up there stupid shopping carts full of it, not leaving any for us last minute "state of emergency" shoppers.

It can take my house, but please leave the cars alone.....

Any one else in the same boat?????????

Tropical Storm Bonnie is about to hit where i'm living. Hopefully, it'll just be a big thunderstorm with lots of rain. I don't want my POS car to get any worse.

Wow....good luck, guys. I'm so used to not having to worry about weather like that that it seems really bizarre hearing about it. Hope you guys don't suffer much damage and that the cars are okay.

Just alot of rain here in South Florida. It seems we escape most of them.

A hurricane is like a marraige. Alot of sucking a blowing in the begining and went it's over your house is gone.

Haha, thats funny....

Well I got about 14 hours until it hits me. Looks like I'm going to get 90+ mph winds here, which means I got more stuff to put away today. About 500,000 people have mandatory evacuations in the St. Pete/Tampa area. Another million are strongly urged to evac. I am about half way between Tampa and Orlando. The news said that Interstate 4 was backed up from Tampa to Orlando. That's about a 100 miles or so.

I guess its our time since we have not got hit by a major one in 75 years. We were long over do in the Tampa Bay area. I will take pics if I see anything good.

Its kinda of creepy how the sun is shinning, no rain, and not even a breeze this morning knowing how much that will change tonight.

BTW, is it bad that it's also FRIDAY THE 13TH.

I've been through a couple. Do you have shutters or at least plywood up? Don't worry 90 mph won't do much damage as long as there aren't any big trees around your house. It's the tornados that come from the hurricane that do alot of damage.

No, we do have anything up on the windows or nothing. I think it will be ok. I was able to get 5 gallons of water and my propane tank filled for the grill. Got chips, PB & J, and Beer. I'm set.

I don't think it'll be too bad, but my mom is kinda freeking out. Also, I will be parking my 5.0 and focus at the hospital parking garage, so they should be safe. The 2.3T will just have to ride the storm out.

And yeah the tornados are what to worry about. The can pop up out of no where and they are starting to about 50 miles south of me.

Still waiting for it. It has moved more to the East and is about to hit land. Tampa is actually looking pretty safe now, but it is now heading right for my county. It keeps moving back and forth. We hope that it will keep going to the East and miss us, but who knows.

It is still kinda of creepy how calm it is. It is such a nice day; it's cool out with just a bunch of clouds. I can't help to think what people did before they had radar to see these storms coming. You would just never guess that a category 4 hurricane is about to hit us. Could you imagine just going about your day not having a clue that you will have 150 mph winds in a couple hours? Gotta love technology

Update........

Happy to say I dodged a bullet. The storm kinda went back and forth and then took a couple shifts to the east pretty much missing me. It was kinda hectic cause it would head for me, then move away, then head for me again.

It got pretty windy and my pine trees were bending up to 45*. I live at the west corner of my county but the rest of my county got pretty tore up. Even most of my city is out of power except my side of town And yeah, it pretty much hit people that did not expect it. It was turning over mobile homes and stuff with winds from 75-100mph. And in this county, there's alot of them...haha.

I am kinda upset because I wanted to see some cool stuff. I went driving around and all I saw was some stupid carboard election signs on the ground. Thats it So yeah, no pics. And all that preparation for nothing..hehe...well there is 2 more hurricanes forming in the Atlantic, one taking the same path of Charlie. Guess I better save my water for next week.

The funniest part was that about a million people evacuated and headed straight for where the hurricane ended up being.
