I'm trying to install an air horn on my 5.0 but I can't seem to find the positive horn wire or even the horn, i don't want to take anything apart to get to the wire so I was hoping that someone could point it out to me so I could splice it in.

The horns live under the driver's side front fender. If you lay on your back in front of the front wheel and look up, you will see them. Solder splice & heat shrink your wire there.

See http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=7 for help with how to make weatherproof solder splices.

The probably represent the momentary switch contacts used to turn on the relay.

Those are the original horn wires like it says above. These wire you unplug from the horn and run to the relay. One is a postive and the other a neg and they actuate the relay.

That's a weird diagram where hitting the horn activates the compressor. I would think you would send power to the 12V+ solenoid that fires the air horn.

The compressor wiring all depends on what sort of setup it is. Some automatically refill when pressure drops.

Thanks a lot. I ended up eliminating the relay and just wiring them straight to my horn button, replacing the stock ones. I don't know if i like them yet, they are very high pitch and don't seem to be a whole lot louder than the stock ones.

For anyone who wants to know, the kit I got was the Blazer Air Horn one from Autozone...I think ill be making a trip to CAPP to see if they have better ones.
