I am having an alignment issue with my '99 GT. My car has now been aligned 3 times by the same shop, when they installed springs 2 years ago, when they installed struts 2 months ago, and again today. The same problem continues yet the shop thinks it's straight. When I hold the steering wheel straight the car pulls to the left. After the shop completed the alignment today there was no change. I was tempted to turn around and go back but had other business to attend to. So, my question is could there be some other issue that is causing this? I know the car has never been wrecked. This is not my daily driver and it has only $58k miles. Is there a way to adjust the steering wheel? Right now I have to hold it at about 1 o'clock to keep it straight.

They may not be able to align it to spec if you don't have C/C plates on there.

I put Ford C-springs on mine, then eventually put Tokico D-specs on. Even after the alignment, it still felt off. Finally I was informed by another shop that they couldn't adjust it propenly as the factory plates didn't have enough range of adjustment. So I bought the Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates and now it can get aligned properly.

I guess I should have mentioned that I do have C/C plates.

At this point, I'd take it to another shop...one that specializes in suspension. If everything's correct with the alignment, maybe it's just something with the steering column. Maybe the steering wheel just needs to be centered. The 1:00 position does seem a bit far out though.

I agree with Good, take it to another shop and make sure they are doing all the adjustments.

When you let go of the wheel at 1 o'clock does the car go straight or does it want to turn? I had 2 different ford dealers in MN then one in AZ align my car to no avail as the car pulled right, inspected the alignment myself and noticed the camber was out. I fabricated some tools and adjusted it myself, never had an issue afterwards, the wear pattern on my front. my 02 had no suspension mods.

When I let go of the wheel the car drifts left and when I straighten the wheel it pulls hard left.
