I was wondering if it would be ok to run my charge wire from the alternator positive post to my battery terminal, and then run another wire from the battery to the positive side of the starter solenoid? If this is not recommended/or bad in any way I won't do it, it's for purely cosmetic reasons.

:Edit:The alternator is a one wire Powermaster

Yes, you can run a wire directly from your one wire Powermaster to the pos. battery post; in fact, that is what you're supposed to do. Your pos. battery cable should already be hooked to the pos. side of the solenoid, so why would you want to run another wire and clutter up the area? You are talking about a one-wire alternator, aren't you?

Yes it is one wire, the stock charge wire ran to the positive side of the solenoid so that is where I ran the new charge wire, and I will be replacing the stock battery to solenoid cable with 0/1 ga. power cable. Thanks for the reply

Yes, that is fine. I had my PowerMaster 1 wire directly to the battery before I moved the battery to the trunk

Alright thanks for the help Dave and gp, I was pretty sure that it would work fine but wanted to check and make sure that there was no reason why the stock cable went there I was missing.
