I had just a tiny amount of interference with my Fox body VC's

I used one washer on each mounting location to shim the alt out
about 65 thousandths

grind alternator, grind valve cover, clearance valve cover, move alternator. About your only options.

Some valve covers can not be clearance enough. I know the Trick Flow Valve covers fit without clearancing, but there is a good chance you will not be able to get those Canton valve covers to fit no matter what you do. Most of the valve covers out there are designed for 93' and older mustangs where the alternator sits way forward.

Had that issue before... Best fix was to cut a 1" square out of the VC to give the alt clearance. Used some Aluminum tape on the I.D. to create a concave area for clearance. Skim over that both in and out with some JB weld... Done deal. The repair is buried behind the alt and needs nada...Mines been leak free for 5 yrs...

do you think putting spacers behind the alt. bracket , powersteerng/ac bracket, and crank pulley will do it?

Sounds like a lot of trouble

You should be able to shorten that electrical bolt a bit

I have wondered if you could clock the alt by a small amount for more room

Just look at the big picture and see what idea you can come up with

You could slot the vc bolt holes ever so slightly for like 1/16th of an inch

Just get creative ... Like Larry Says ... Get er Done

I also grinded my Fox valve cover down a tad to get the alt to fit properly.
