This is on a complete rewire job for a 91 5.0HO into a 57 Ranchero. I need help identifying this alternator and wiring connections. I've searched the internet for pics of it with the wiring connected to it without any luck. Other than the plug there is only one threaded point that's not insulated from the body so I assume that goes to ground but can't figure out the connection for battery charging or the 3 pins in the plug. Thanks in advance.

Looks like someone upgraded their alternator, I can only guess from your pics. I believe that accepts a voltage regulator plug when people upgrade to a 3G alternator. Can you take more pics of the front and that threaded connector you are talking about?

Here are a few more. I misspoke earlier, there are 3 more pins recessed in the outer casing 90degrees from the 3 pin plug. I put a bolt in the threaded connection to locate it. Sorry that's the best pick I can get without removing other items but if it helps, I will remove them.

Who knows what brand of alternator that is? I had to go out in my garage to look but from what I can tell

Its some kind of 2g alternator. I had upgraded to a 3g awhile ago. Those embedded pics are of a 65amp jegs alternator. There are 2 harnesses used, ignore the threaded connection, that isnt used. So what is it you need to know? You are going to need the wiring off the mustang, correct?

Knowing the Alt. I have id a huge help. I need to purchase the plugs so yes; I will look into getting mustang wiring if I can't locate the plug connector themselves. Maybe upgrading will be easier. thanks for the help much appreciated.
