Well I just took the stang out for a quick romp to play with the rice downtown. For some reason my car doesn't feel half as fast as it used to. I didn't get into it with anyone, but i did floor it a couple of times down the back streets. I don't know, it just seems like 400rwhp should feel like more. I was riding shotgun in my friends stock 03 cobra today and it was pinning me in the seat. I'm running just as much if not more power then him? So WTF!!!!! Comments please..................

Yes, it does feel faster when you aren't driving...it's a psychological effect (obviously). I think it's due to the fact that you don't have to concentrate on driving/shifting/etc...

Your not loosing your mind. Cars do feel faster when your riding shotgun. One reason might be that you dont have a steering wheel to hang on to. Another reason might be that you are not as deep in concentration (things seem to slow when your concentrating) And yes, lastly you are probably used to your car.

haha yea but then all i would have is a GT with a supercharger...not a Cobra...theres that extra feeling of knowing you got a limited edition car thats a huge part of the draw.

when you drive you automatically brace yourself for hard shifts and what not. when you ride shot gun its more unexpected, throwing you back into the seat. have someone drive you around in your car and nail it a few times...
