Ok, my oil pressure is acting very weird. The problem first started a few months ago a little while after I bought the car. When I first got the car every thing was fine. After a few months and about 3000 miles. I notice my oil pressure drops to about 10psi, only when the car is hot, and only at highway speeds. All other times it's 40-50PSI. I changed the sending unit and it seemed to fix the problem. After a few weeks it started acting funky again, only this time I had super high pressure at high speeds. Around comes November, and it's low again. It will drop to about 10 PSI or even lower @1800RPM. If I stop or go slow it will come back up to 40psi, although it comes up very slowly.
I've changed my oil since the second time it's dropped from Mobil 1 10W-30 to Delo 30. Because the pressure would drop super low at idle with the 10/30.
I also changed intakes and carb and I was very careful not to drop any gasket into the engine.
I guessing its a bad oil pump but I'm not sure. Thanks for your help
