another t45 down the drain lol

well today i wasnt in a good mood, was driving around, and wound out 2nd nailed 3rd and 4th, then let it slow itsself down, all the sudden BOOM!! no 3rd or 4th!! so now ive got 2nd and 5th, its like a powerglide kinda, lol..
so here's another casualty on ford's pos built 5 speed line..

anybody else go t45 killing lately?

Dang man, sorry to hear that. Pick N Pull should get you straightened out for cheap.

thats sucks, i hope mine doesnt blow up anytime soon, but how long can it last dead hooking on slicks

Same thing happened to my brother's t45, shifted hard from 2 to 3 BOOM lost 3rd and 4th.

damn are T45's really that bad? i'm new to mustangs so i don't know

Step up and get a 3650, they are a lot better or check salvage yards and see if you can find a decent cobra 6-speed. I replaced my t-45 with a 3650 and a 03-04 cobra clutch and so far so good.

im not going to another t45, becasue i know it will break again. im going to go for a 3650, i would tko the thing but its not in the fundage...

it just like a t5 in a fox, the people that say they are good, dont ever drive them or shift the things... so im gonna do what ford should have done in the first place and put a stronger trans in...

bad thing is im in indianapolis right now lol, good thing is i took down a h/c/i fox along with the trans hahah..
