I don't want to hear crap about it being CF. If I get it, its getting painted, but I'm leaving the raised part CF.

I just want to know if any one has this and if there are fitment issues? The pic they have with the white cobra looks like the hood is a tad short, but I think it might be shadows playing tricks.

*EDIT* Found the fitment stuff I was looking for. Sadly Google found it on sites I had allready used the internal search function for! Heres the link to the pic of fitment just in case any one else ever tries to use search. http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/showthread.php?t=44331&page=1&pp=25&highlight=carbon+fiber

You might want to look into whether that hood will work with a CDC shaker hood kit or not. I had an '02 GT with a CDC setup on it and looked into getting a normal Mach 1 hood for it after I had problems with the appliqué wanting to break off on me. I was told by CDC that the shaker is placed in a slightly different location than a Mach 1's shaker and the hood wouldn't work with it. Since that carbon fiber hood is meant as a replacement for a Mach 1's hood it probably won’t work with the CDC setup.

The CDC will work with slight modification. I just am sick of some things, mostly with options for aftermarket. I am not the type to completely fab my own stuff. More the type to scavenge. So I'm on the fence thinking about swapping the CDC for the KarKraft. With the KarKraft I can cannabalize Mach intake stuff.

I just get mad looking at the CDC 05+ kit, its beautiful. Everything us 99-04 owners asked for in a shaker kit. Optional Custom hood, perfect custom intake box etc...
I'm getting the hood no matter what, and if I'm not happy with how the CDC works (all I need is washers and a Mach trim ring... or whatever the rubber piece is called) then I'll swap. I've seen the modded result and I liked it, but my motor moved with the K-member so fitment may be more an issue than the modded one I saw.

I thought the CDC setup was crap too. The applique about came off on me after I had the car for 2 years. I took it back to the dealership that had it installed and they tightened the bolts on it down so tightly, to try to keep it from happening again, that it started to crack in places. I traded that car for my Mach 1 and couldn't be happier.

I hope whatever you decide to do works out well for you.

I never had any problems with the applique... well this one time it was 60+ then the next day it was -5 I shut the hood and one of the bolt things broke. CDC replaced it free. The new one fit great until some one tried to pry it off my hood, I'm assuming they figured they could get to the engine. Don't get me wrong, the CDC kit is very nice, its just they could make so much more money if only they offered for the pre-05s what they do for the 05+.
