hey for all you painters out there, i just have a couple questions. I taped of my GT tails to paint. I started painting them with spraw balm, but decided to put it off for a while. It has some of my paint on the tails, but should i get rid of that paint and paint it at my friend's paint booth? like should I take the paint can paint off and primer these and paint them the air compressor way and then clearcoat them? or will the spray balm with clearcoat end up being just as good?
also, i have a new cowl vent grille from internation mustangs. I was just wondering the steps to painting it. do i sand it down really fine, then primer, then paint, then clearcoat? is it as simple as that? or are there minor steps i am missing.
Keep in mind I want to try this myself and if they dont work out i will get a shop to do it...so i need all the advice i can get.
