This is because you need a relay.I bought a HID Headlight plug-n-play kit from Mustangs Unlimited. The only problem with mine was after it was installed I could only get 1 headlight to work. If I unplugged the working headlight then the other would light up but neither would light up together. So that kit is sitting in storage collecting dust.
With the aero's and almost any other car I completely agree with you. On the four eyed's though you can aim them down far enough to prevent blinding other drivers. I got headlights flashed at me all the time with those cheap projector knock-offs.Don't use hid lights without projector housings. I have hid's in both of my other vehicles. They both have projector lenses. I buy the cheapest ones on eBay. I think I just payed 30$ a month ago. Don't be fooled by the more expensive ones. I had them, they look and operate just the same as the 30$ ones. I normally get about 2 years out of a set, the ballast normally goes first. I drive with my headlights on everytime I get in the car though. So they would last longer if not used unless they are needed.
