Have you heard of, or had any problems with the 2006 Stangs? Just checking to see if Ford took care of some of the problems they had with the 2005's!
Thanks!

Yea, just getting the one you ordered I heard on the radio last night, Ford was also getting into deep **** like GM. Maybe if they'd actually build the cars that had sales already for them first, instead of dealer stock that's loaded up with crap nobody wants, they'd sell a few more cars.

I've got an early production 06, and I've had the fuel fillup problem just a couple of times (at random gas stations)... end up flipping the nozzle upside down to finish filling up. Maybe 3 fill-ups in the 4000 miles on it.

After getting on the gas real hard in a corner and on down a straight-away, I had my fuel gauge drop to E from half tank & the message center said 11 miles to E. I knew I had a half tank, but I went to a gas station and filled it back up with 9 gal - sure enough, restarted it and it was fine. Must of confused some sensor someplace.

Got a slight rattle in the dash someplace that I haven't taken the time to get fixed yet.
But that's all I can say about mine... besides "I LOVE THIS CAR!!!"

Only problem is finding a shop with the new 2006 tunes for the SCT. Only one place up here in NVA has them, and they are the kind of shop were you grab your ankles when you drop off your car....

LOVE MY CAR!!!

2006 Tunes

I did not know there is a difference. I got an X-Cal 2 and got it tuned for 93 octane no CAI. I guess I need to check with the tuner but I have not had any issues either.

Oh, should have clarified. Getting it dyno tuned as well. Did you tune yours yourself? Get the tune preloaded from SCT, or get a shop to do it?

I was thinking about getting an SCT and tune for the 06 V6 from Alternative Auto. They only have the 05 Mustang listed but I figured the same tunes for the 05 that will be loaded into the SCT would be the same for the 06 and work with no problem. Is this wrong and do I need a tune that is special made just for the 06?
By the way I'm in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia so if you know of any good shops please let me know.

It was a generic mail order 93 Octane tune. I am planning on getting a Dyno tune when my CAI comes in. BTW just the tune itself without the CAI made a difference.

The computer code for the 06s is different and I was told that this would make a difference. The shop could have been unsrupulous and let me come in and run everything with the 05 codes. Therefore, they had no reason to lie about it and lose a potential customer. Luckily, they saw the light and ordered the new codes.

Well it might be an 06 problem if I buy the SCT with an 05 tune

I called Lidio at Alternative Auto http://www.alternativeauto.com/prodserv/v6_05mustang_tune.html
and he said they have the 06 Mustang codes in also. He said the tune for the 05 v6 is basicallythe same for the 06 but he just has to change the codes on them or something. Anyways just wanted to let you know he has them available also.

1800 miles on mine. Had the gas tank fill problem twice. Occasionally, my Shaker 500 takes a couple of seconds to locate the next track while playing a cd. Hasn't skipped once, but still the occasional pause between songs is annoying. Bad thing is, I'm afraid to have the radio replaced because I might end up getting a unit that skips constantly.

Is the skipping problem you are experiencing with burned cds or store bought ones? Also are they mp3 discs that you are having problems with?
