I took purchase of my 2005 GT 5 weeks ago and the car only has 400 miles on it. Now the tranny won't shift into 2nd gear. No matter if I upshift or down shift, sitting still or moving. The Tranny will grind something aweful. It's going in tomorrow for the warrentee work, however they are saying it'll be something like 2 weeks before they can have it back to me b/c it's hard for them to get the right parts. (I call BS on that) But regardless, i'm just curious if anyone else is having the same problems with the 2005 5-speed manual transmission... if so post up and let me know.

also, if anyone else is having anyother problems I should know about, please let me know. b/c i'm about to do some semious moding to the car and I want the crap to break now before the warrentee is gone.

That really sucks, but they put the same POS Tremec 3650 as my 03 Mach1.
Just wait till everyone else gets some mileage on their's. They are clunky and Ford will tell you it's normal...same song and dance as always...sad... Quality is not Job1 from wha I see.

Good luck.

man, i thought they fixed that for '05. they said they did.

good luck with that. us previous gen 3650 are still having troubles getting the dealerships to perform the TSB on it.

If you want more info, go to http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=328655

if you got a few days to read through it, that is.
