It was announced today that GTA 5 will indeed come to PS4, Xbox One and PC this fall. I'm pretty damn excited.

I use to be into all those but they become too easy. I finished Grand Turismo 5 in 6 days. Now it's iRacing only, gave everything else away.

Buy a wheel, bolt to a desk, HDMI cord from your PC to your HDTV and your PC can handle it (I remember the thread) and you're SIM racing.

Sign up for iRacing, wwwiracing.com , it's currently half off $49.99 for an entire year (less than a video game). You'll get 6 free cars and 6 free tracks. Start as a rookie and if you're good advance.

It's big boy stuff, put down the controller.

Did you bust his balls for using a game console and call virtual iracing (which is essentially a glorified version of the same thing with a fancier chair), big boy stuff?

What does that make real racing? The sport of Kings?

Nah, game consoles are fine. In iRacing you set the cars up- Caster / Camber, Spring Rebound, Tire Pressures, Perch, Track bar, etc. You can only go fast based on how well you set the car up unlike a video game where you can full blast around corners.

In iRacing if you wreck the car / destroyed it and you're on the sidelines watching the rest of the race unlike a video game where you get unlimited life. Some may like doing this but if you want realism it's not found in a video game.

The next step up from a video console is SIM racing and it's easy to get started. A console is a few hundred bucks plus $60 a game. iRacing is $49 for the year and you'll need a wheel / pedals / shifter which can be had for $219-Logitech G27 so it's affordable too.

What I'm saying is a controller / console is old school so why not grab a wheel and race against the best. Just about every race team in the World uses iRacing for practice / testing so Champions can't be wrong. Now bring on the dead horse and what happened to the Hulk?

No dead horse. I remember your iRacing thread from a year or so back. It looked like fun.

Hulk is taking a powder. Thought I'd change it up for a while.

Because I can kill everyone in sight in Grand Theft Auto for no reason and not go to prison. I don't get that kind of after work stress relief from hitting apexes.

(is thinking maybe you thought I originally posted about "Gran Turismo" instead of Grand Theft Auto?)

I remember playing the first Call of Duty at night when the kids went to bed. At 1AM my heart is pounding and adrenaline running hard still. I gave all those games away. No more shoot'em up stuff for me.

I definitely need some cool down time after I play, but I don't get as competitive and bent out of shape about it like some people do. I don't really care about my win/loss ratio or kill/death ratio, I'm just trying to have fun. Of course I wanna win but if I don't then I just got out gamed. I don't invest as much time into these games as some people do so losing doesn't effect me much. Lately every server I've been on BF3 I've been in the top 3 after every match anyway, and that's with me just goofing off and having fun with it.

Well I went to the gun range yesterday for 2 hours then did the archery range for an hour so my adrenaline has been redirected.

I followed the Xbox portion of this E3. Stoked for Master Chief Collection. I hate to say it, but COD Advanced Warfare looks sweet too.

GTA:V is a tough proposition IMO if you already own the PS3 or Xbox 360 version. I am aware the online accounts carry over so you don't have to start from scratch for that part of the game, but if you don't already own a PS4 or Xbox One there is really no reason to run out to spend four digits for a game that will only look slightly better but is essentially the same game. Being that the game was built for current generation consoles and not optimized for the next-gen stuff, the gains will be minimal as is the case for most games that are designed with cross-generation platforms in mind.

The PC version might find some value in third-party content, since about GTA:III people have created stuff for the PC versions like real-life cars that blow away the stuff already in the game in terms of quality.

I think they've already made their money off these games, and any further sales will be PC buyers and those who had already moved on from PS3/360 and owned the PS4/One and haven't bought it yet. Then again I also think it's going to continue being a solid seller because of the online aspect. I wouldn't be surprised if they did an expansion for this one too or at least some downloadable content.

And I concur with that, if you don't own GTA:V yet but own a next-gen console, blast away. I wonder if they will do what they did with some cross-platform titles like BF4: or CoD:Ghosts where they will give you a discount or rebate if you bought the previous gen version first but want to upgrade to the next gen one.

Off topic but what do you know about Watchdogs? I've heard it compared to GTA5 a lot so it has me curious. One thing that caught my attention was a reviewer said it uses "the same hold the button down for x amount of time to accomplish something trick" over and over...not sure what that's about. I've watched some videos but still don't really get the gist of the game other than the obvious similarities. Is it online only? You can be hacked by other online players?

As weird as it sounds, I have two Xbox One games I bought at launch date and are still in their wrappers, and that is Titanfall and Watch Dogs. I have heard WD is basically Assasian's Creed and GTA mixed together, and yes I have heard about the "Press X to hack" controversy, I think there is so much buzz about that even people who haven't played the game have either heard or have been turned off by it.
