I just got 3:73's. Dont get me wrong they're great for street racing but they seem to get a bit "short" for open driving. Does anyone have 3:55's and like them?

I used to... Want back to 3.27 yesterday so I have more meat to the ground.
The best is now to add a T56, first gear then will pull to 50mph and leave those ricers behind

he he, sounds like THERE'S a man who knows what he's talkin' about. I'll admit, the 3:73's seem a bit short. But a 6 speed is a bit pricy aint it? PLUS you got a LOT more rwhp!!! hmmmmm, decisions, decisions!!!

I've got 3.55's and they pull hard all the way through 3rd gear. I'm debating between 3.90's and 4.10's because I want 4-5 too pull hard to. A couple months ago I was set on 3.90's then I was set on 4.10's. Now hell I don't know. I'm so confused I think that the 3.90's or 4.10's will help me go faster but hell it's all about knowing how to drive with the gear you've got anyway. I'm just scared of making a mistake and wasting money. Who knows?

All the 2003-4 Mach 1's, come with 3.55's if you feel like asking any, feels just about right to me..

I have 3.45 and my car goes 66 mph @ 2000 RPM, I wouldn't want to go with a ratio much higher than that.

I have 3:55s in my 03gt and personally i like them alot. And trust me there is a difference. If you race go with the 3:73s. If not wich i don't then go with the 3:55. I don't regret it.

3.55's are a joke unless your putting some huge ass numbers down. Like 500+RWHP. Below that, I'd go with 3.73's. N/A, 4.10's are the way to go, even 4.30's if you really want to fly or run 28" tires.

why i got mine was cause i am going to get a supercharger.. My tech even looked at me like i was stupid.. but o well im happy. i only paid $25, they were brand new and came with the install kit.. with a KB i think 3:55 would be AWSOME with the torque they have. but really anything over 400HP there just right for a street car.
I dont race. just a daily driver.

I do and love them........They are much better than my 3.27's in the GT. They pull hard in the Mach and are a great combo for the 85% highway driving I do.

I would never put higher gears in a car that's not my play toy. If your going to the track and only concerned about 1/4 mile times 4.10's and up are great but try cruising with em at 75/80mph 50 miles....esp. if you have a loud exhaust
