Dusting off the old cobwebs in the back corner of my rusty brain, if I recall correctly, the dwell angle should be in the neighborhood of 30-degrees . . .

thanks very much for that number. It has been pretty difficult to find. I recently got a dwell meter from a friend because my timing seemed to be off. I appreciate it

Best thing you can do though is ditch the points and replace em with an electronic unit.

+1!! The dwell angle will only last a couple thousand miles at best. Only thoroughbred restorations use points anymore.
