How, pouring it down the intake or in the gas tank?

In the intake, I used it on my 02 gt once at about 85k miles and it worked a miracle on that car

Unless you have racked up a lot of miles on it already, I wouldn't think you would need too ....

Good stuff to use about every 10k miles thru the intake. It helps remove all the carbon buildup thru the intake system, on the valves, combustion chambers, and piston tops from blow-by. No matter how good your car is there is always some oil blow-by in your combustion chamber. Use a vac line from the intake and let it pull the Seafoam into the intake system while the car is running. Use about 1/2 bottle this way making sure to keep the car running but not above 1k rpm. After you have put in the 1/2 bottle turn the engine off and let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes. Pour the rest in the tank then start it back up. You will smoke the neighborhood up really good for a few minutes but thats a good thing. You can actually see the black dusty particals come out your exhaust. I did this on a 80k mile Dodge truck I had that ran with a bad intake gasket for a few years. It spark knocked like crazy on 87 gas due to the build up. I changed the gasket and started the seafoam treatment and the knock went away totally after the 2nd treatment. When I finally decided to do a top end rebuild at 120k miles the valves, combustion chambers, and piston tops looke great with almost 0 build-up.This made me keep using it, I have tore into cars with less than 30k miles that looked alot worse. I now use it in my supercharged 05 GT every 10k miles just to be safe. Carbon build-up is a big cause of detonation and in a boosted car that means a quick death to the engine. I would rather be safe than sorry and for $7 bucks every 10k miles the insurance is well worth it.

Seafoam?

I use a 16 oz. bottle of Chevron Techron every 5K miles. It's all I need.

Seafoam is the only additive you will ever need to use. And if you use it you will never have any carbon or clogged injector related issues.

For those of you who don't think you need to or don't want to - you don't have any idea how bad the gas is now days. Why do you think they are having so much trouble removing plugs in many cases.

What about putting it in the crankcase as well? I have the same situation Killbee refered to (Dodge Ram with 75,000 miles). How soon can you do the second treatment?

The Problem Ford is having with spark plug removal is centered only around the 3V engines, and is due to spark plug design. it only affects certain engine build dates also. The welds in the manufacturing of the spark plugs will break upon loosening the plugs but ford has released a bulletin. what you do is back the spark plug out about 1/8 of a turn. spray a small amount of carb cleaner in and give it time to soak. then you work the plug back and forth and it should come out.

There are absolutely gasoline quality problems. the problems just don't cause the spark plug issues.

i wouldn't use seafoam on a newer vehicle with low mileage. but when the mileage gets up there, especially on cars that weren't really taken care of before you got them i've heard good things.

like my dad always says "miracles don't come in bottle"

Do you guys not have Techron in your Chevron gas? A few years back I bought a '95 Metro. The super at the shop I worked at had just changed the water pulley and timing belt on it. In any case I drove it back and forth to Vegas a couple times and then I was having some valve problems so we cracked it open again. He asked if I had cleaned the head already, I said no and then he asked if I use Chevron gas. That's all I use. In about 1k miles it took the deposits down to literally nothing. The last couple times that I have opened the head up same thing, spotless. I drive stop and go a lot and I drive less than a mile to work so the car gets turned on and off pretty frequently. Techron works and you don't have to buy it seperately Well at least on the WC you don't...
