If anyone has a set laying around I need to know how much the tires buldge on the wheel. I need to order custom backspaced wheels since i have a non factory rear axle and want to make sure i'm not rubbing. So a straight edge along both the front and back face of the wheel and that distance measured would be awesome if someone had a spare second to help someone out :hail2:

cant help you with the measurements but I have a 245/60 on a 15x8 wheel and the tire already overlaps the rim. You really need a wider wheel for that size of tire.

If you put that tire on a 8 inch wide wheel, any extra width you gain is going to go mostly in overlapping and bulging over the sides of the wheel instead of being shaped for on the pavement.

tire manufacturers will usually list a recommended rim size for a certain size tire, you should check with those to be safe.

And since you said you have a custom axle, chances are nobody else's measurements are going to help you out anyways. You need to measure your spacing on your car.

well the tire has such a large sidewall its would be fine. Its common to mount a 275/60/15 tire on a 8" wide wheel

I have a hoosier 10"x26" slick on a 15 x 8.5" wheel. It fits the stock sheet metal in the back of my 65 mustang with leafs and the stock 9" (yes its an original k-model).

I can get you that dimension if needed.
