I am in the middle of putting in my Dig 6-plus box and the main power wire that goes to the battery I want to fuse but it did not come with one. HAs anyone fused this wire and if so what size of fuse did you use?
Thanks for any help with this.

Does not require a fuse.

go to the autoparts store or radio shack and buy a inline fuse holder if you really want one. As MSD if they suggest using one.

ive been in the middle of doing this for a week now. (no days off no free time)
..i thought about doing that

but then, you must consider, what if that fuse blows when youre driving on the freeway or something. then... no ignition system for you, youre stuck.

i think the box can handle any power spikes or whatnot

or at least keep alot of spare fuses in your glovebox, or youll be

Putting a fuse on your ignition box is a mistake. Don't cause yourself a problem down the road or like they said above carry fuses or wire cutters to cut and wrap around your battery so you can get home.

Well I did put one in, I had the large fuse holder and put in a 25amp. I do not like the idea of a hot wire going straight to it without some protection. What happens if the line shorts out, what will happen to the box? Will it be able to handle the possible spikes? I do not know about all of you but I am not willing to test the possibilities.
I did not think of the fuse and wire idea though, so I will be carring extra of each just incase. Thanks for all the replies, I really appreciate it.
