I've "heard" 2500 for a beginner is a good place to start. But the fastest NA guy I've seen launches about 5250 to 5500, but then agian, he's also lost a rear end, but not sure if the two are related.

My stang is a daily driver, and I want to keep it in one piece, so I'm launching around 2500, but I have poor 60' time of 2.2.

I try to launch at around 4000-4500. Dyno says 267 HP @ 5275 and 282 lb-ft at 4350. So I figure a good launch has got to be around there. I do lay a little bit of rubber but I'm pretty sure that's inevitable. I'm just trying to minimize it.
