I have a 2001 Mustang GT with an automatic transmission. Has anyone ever put a AOD->3650 Tranmission Conversion. If so, has your car ever run the same?
I know it's been done before but I'm not sure how it goes. I know the computer in yours is designed to work with the automatic transmission so you'll definately have to re-route some wiring and get the computer programming altered to work for the automatic. You'll also need the transmission-driveshaft yoke for the manual to make it work and you'll need to make room for the clutch pedal. Thats just the basics of it. Go to www.modulardepot.com, register under their forums board, and ask those guys in the 4.6ltr tech section. They know more about this stuff than probably anyone else.
Don't know. Still got to go and race. I know I know, I should of done raced 100's of times and I'm embarrased to say I havent yet but I don't live anywhere near a 1/4 mile track. That, and I still need some slicks so I don't spin the rear end. I will be competing in the F-body vs. Mustang competition in September though.
