I have to say, I have that junkie itch again! After not driving a classic for 10 years I have to have one. I thought I kicked the habit but I am having a relapse.

I'm looking for my first love again, a '65 or '66 fastback. I love my '68 (still not done), but I originally wanted the first fastback. I thought the prices had come down, but I looked at my first fastback, a '65, last week. Talk about overpriced. Wanted $27k. Rear frame rails were crunchy by the rear shackles, passenger floor pan was soft, fold down seat chrome was rusty, etc. Car was IMHO worth $15k.

Long story short I'm looking for a turn key car, I have no time to restore one (had my '68 for 15 years and still a basket case). I don't mind paying for one, so long as it is worth the money. I want solid car to daily drive, so nothing rare. Bone stock is fine so I can customize it. Please tell me this is possible for $20k or so??

I'm in South Jersey btw.

For 27 you should be able to turn the key and go to cruise night. Why don't you call Glazier Nolan? Fairly near you, and although they don't sell cars they often know what's available.
