Welp, been out for a while, and out of the house for 13 months. Thank you hurricane Harvey, you SOB. It's good to be home, I can't even tell ya. We are still gathering furniture and getting organized; my shop is slowly being emptied of furniture as it trickles into the house. I am very much looking forward to getting the shop squared away and maybe put the Calypso fox back together. Last year I'd decided to yank the engine to sort some things out, then, BAM. Flood. So, maybe before long we can talk about the elusive amphibian hatch coming out of hibernation???

My son home from college this weekend brought some buddies and his gf to help with the move:

Glad your back Allen. It doesn't register how bad a storm actually was until it impacts somebody you know. A year! Wow!.
Hopefully you'll get back into the groove quickly and return to normal asap.

Thanks Mike. I'm hoping so. I miss being able to be preoccupied with hobbies instead of necessities.

Man, I had no idea you were still recovering from that. Glad you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Hope to start seeing you around more (signifying your return to normalcy).

I've been hit by a few major hurricanes, Wilma we got a direct hit in 2005 (no electric for 3 weeks) and last year Irma. I'm in the process of hopefully getting a new roof, concrete barrel $25,000, filed through insurance. Have an Engineer coming Thursday to make the final inspection.

Safety is more important than a house so glad everyone is okay but I get it, your routine with your family is altered. For 3 weeks we were lost can't imagine 13 months.

The car will be a nice distraction of all the events.

Yes, we were able to get them moved or high enough the floodwater didn't get them. The fox did stay behind on extra tall jackstands, LOL.
