Hey guys, i did a search and after a load of threads i still did not find my answer. main question is that after i get my suspension done i am going back to power. pulleys, and TA. after that i am going to do exhaust. bassani X and catback. my question is if i got the X will it bolt to my stock headers. conversly when i do end up changing to the bassani midlength headers will i have to do some cutting or new pipe? i cant seem to get any information on people going from stock to bassani headers that had an X origionaly.

I had the bassani O/R X with my stock manifolds and all you need to do is either:

A. Grind the shoulders on the drivers side manifold bolts off

or

B. Go to NAPA and ask for a Ford stud kit part #600-1819 and replace the driver's side studs

all i have to do is get a stud kit when i go from stock to bassani headers whileusing the bassaniX...

dont have to do anything to the X at all then? doesnt make sense... but if thats true then all the better.

Sorry, I didn't read the second part all the way through. You will need to get a pipe for the mid-length headers. If you go with shorties, then there is no need.

My Bassani headers and catted X-pipe came with extensions that bolt to the stock manifolds.Don't think for a second that there weren't ???? flying out of my head untill I figured out they were for the stock manifolds.

If i understood right later on you are going to get the mid length headers forthe car. The answer is yes you will have to buy the intermidiate pipes that are shorter to accomedate the headers.

I bolt it up my X-pipe with the stock studs no exhaust leaks just checked and retighten the everything the good old double checking

Make sure you buy the 5 piece x-pipe. It is made to bolt up to the stock manifolds and the Bassani mid length headers. I have the x-pipe and the cat back, now all I need are the headers.

that is the route i am planning on going, only because i want my clutch replaced before i put on the headers, but want the benafit of the X and catback in the meantime while i wait for the clutch to die.

I'm getting ready to have my headers installed...I have one of the older non 5 piece Bassani X-pipes. The headers come with adapters so that my x-pipe
can be cut, the adapters welded on to my x-pipe and then the headers will bolt up just fine. I had the same question and went straight to Bassani for the answer.

Good info - he's exactly correct. Clutch swaps are still possible with the Bassani mid-lengths, as long as you remove the collectors with a slide hammer - easy.

Does Bassani make both a catted and off road pipe? I was looking on their site and it just says x pipe. It doesn't say whether it's catted or not.

The 5-piece X has the following in the kit:

(1) X-pipe
(2) high flow "turbo" cats
(2) straight pipes

Choose straight pipes or cats and swap them at your convenience. The ALL Bassani sound is killer . . .
