The battery light on my Gt just came on today! The battery gauge is showing normal, but the red light is on! What should i look for, what would cause it to come on!

Hi, Almost every time I have seen this, the alternator is warning you of failing. Normally the car will survive a day running directly off the battery, but then everything will begin to shut down. Just a thought, but dont get stranded, if it fails the car is disabled!
