I am planning on installing a battery relocation kit in my 91 gt hatch. I have a 200 amp alternator with a wire that runs directly to the battery and also a digital ignition system that runs to the battery. My question is what do I do with this wires? Can I hook them to the starter relay. I was also thinking of putting that in the hatch also but I am not sure.

Use the search for some good info on relocation.
What is your goal? In order to be NHRA legal, the disconnect must stop the car from running. If you hook the charge wire to the starter solenoid, it will continue to run without the batery.

The digital ignition can go to the starter relay.

Yes, the only wire what should have power going to it when you flip the kill switch is the one going from the battery to the alternator.

Yeah, to be NHRA legal you would need to hook the ignition system to the solonoid (relay) and then run the main battery + wire from the solonoid back to the switch and then from the switch to the battery. Also you would need to run the alternator's charge wire back to the switch also. Then the switch would cut power from the alternator AND battery from the system and the car would cut off.
Some people have relocated the solonoid to the rear also, but I didn't and I don't really see a need for it that would justify all that extra wiring. I also didn't keep the original ground cable... I just ran the ground from the battery to a metal spot at the back of the car with a very tight bolt and nut. I've had mine like this for over a year and haven't had any problems, it works and charges great.
Hope this helps!
