I'm replacing my battery and I had to pry my positive cable off with a screwdriver to get the core out of the car. Is it worth it to replace the battery cables or just get new clamps for my '94.

My old battery was not bolted down. Is this a big deal?

Thanks

i'd say replace the terminals while you're there, and add those felt washers, too. both are very inexpensive.

Yes your batter should be bolted in. Please fix that. (wouldn't want you to have any ugly problems.)

You can find the parts at 50Resto.

Good luck with getting whole new battery cables (OEM style). They are over 200 bucks IIRC. I hate those hoop style clamps that were used.

That sucks, I'm not replacing the cables. I'll just get the a part to holddown the battery and new clamps/w felt washers.

Thanks for your input!
