Belt System Question

I currently have a smog delete pulley on my 94 Cobra. However, I would like to delete that pulley and also make the switch to a manual rack. If I delete the PowerSteering, smog, and idler pulley would I be able to just purchase a shorter belt? Or would i have to buy a grooved idler pulley and run the belt over? I also plan on retaining the A/C. Just looking for some ideas so I don't go at it blindfolded.

Yes, you can just get a shorter belt, and a pulley. You need to swap the top idler pulley from a smooth pulley to a ribbed pulley so that the belt can travel over it. The belt goes around the crank, around the A/C, over the top of the idler, and over to the alternator. The parts store will have a whole collection of pulleys that will work.
