Ok So I have a supercharger 98 GT, I want a whole new system. It is too loud now. I want the best full length exhaust for a supercharged system. The thing I am going for is ((Most Horspower=Quiet System)) I want an awesome free flowing exhaust system that is quite.

My catback picks would be:
Magnaflow
FRPP catback

My midpipe picks would be:
MRT Catted H - smog
MAC ProChamber - offroad (or catted for smog)

My header picks would be:
JBA shorties
MAC ceramic coated shorties

I would do longtubes, off road midepipe, the dynomax superturbo catback if you want quite and free flow.

magnaflow and borla are quite with cats but cats do cut flow a bit and don't last forever. They are both a bit loud with o/r midepipe.

My set up was inexpensive and it's very quiet and I'm blown too.
I put on a BBK o/r X that was WAY too loud and smelly, so I bought 2 Catco high flow cats from Summit for like 59 bucks a peice and had them welded onto the off road x pipe. I put on Turbo Cherry Bomb (1 chamber) muffs.

The volume is low enough to listen for detonation, and there's not real drone, like I had with my Flowmasters, which I actually dumped for these cheaper muffs.

Just my set-up

My new setup is quiet inside the car with the windows up, and not to loud with the windows down. Its actually eerily quiet inside the car for wknowing how much sound the exhaust is actually emitting.

bassani w/ cats, & exhaust

FRPP catback is nice and quiet.
Use cats, even my mac x pipe with cats is smelly and much louder than stock h pipe.

is the FRPP mandrel bend or just regualr bend tubing like the stock catback?

I would bet the superturbo's might even be quiter than the FRPP though.

The FRPP is inexpensive, oem quality stainless, with 3" tips if I remember right. Nothing like a Borla, but will last the life of the car. Great thing is there is NO DRONE I had some Borla Stingers and they were crazy loud and a terrible drone. There was a test done a long time ago and the Borla baffeled style were the quietest with the least power loss. I think it was posted in the 5.0 tech section.

yeah I have seen the FRPP in posts I just did not remeber if it was mandrel bend or not. proababably not for the price. does the FRPP exhaust have different leghth muffler like the stocker?

yeah the borla stingers are loud as hell I have turbo style catback. they want a crapload for that one now a days. there is a just a hair of drone at 2k I have always wondered if you could do a aftermakert setup with different lenght mufflers on either side to minimize drone. without cats though it is still not quiet by any means. with cats on though it was very melow.

Most definitely Magnaflow. Before I got the O/R X and longtubes installed, my friends nicknamed my car "the V6 stang" because it was so quiet.

get the Ford Racing dual-mode mufflers. a little pricey, but really cool. stock-level quiet for everyday-gas-saving driving, but when you hit it, a valve in the muffler automatically opens up and for a straight-through flow, which increase loudness significantly. they go for about $350 a pair. i plan on buying them, but still don't know what to do about the pipes. not sure if i want to use the stock pipes or get 2.5 mandrel pipes somehow.
